How to Measure

Miss Tween Shop understands that online shopping can be a
little confusing when it comes to choosing the correct size and fit. Measurements for girls, even those who are the same age, can
vary as each girl's level of physical development is different.

HOW TO TAKE YOUR BODY MEASUREMENTS

Tools:  Flexible tape measure (like the ones dressmakers use)
made of vinyl or fabric.

To take measurements ask your mum, sister or friend to help you out. Measure over your undergarments, keeping the tape relaxed,
not snug.

Chest/Bust:  Place the tape measure under your arms and measure around the fullest part of your chest/bust. Keep your arms down by
your side and slightly apart when taking this measurement.

Waist:  Measure around the waist at the smallest point, keeping the tape comfortably loose.

Hip:  With feet together, measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom.

Inseam:  Lay a pair of pants that fit you well flat and measure along the inside leg from the crotch seam to the bottom hem.

Length:  This measurement is taken from the top of the garment to the hem. The length for garments with adjustable straps is taken from under the armhole to the bottom of the hem.

Height:  This measurement will apply to Little Miss Tween garments.
Stand up straight against a wall, without shoes, and measure from the floor to the top of your head.

Tip:  If your measurements fall between two sizes select the largest size.

MEASURING FOR SHOES

1.  Place a piece of paper on a hard floor.
2.  Stand on the paper wearing the type of sock that you
will be wearing with the shoe, for example, stockings,
thick/thin/medium socks, or no socks (for sandals, etc).
3.  Holding a pencil vertically, place a mark at the end of
     your heel.
4.  Place another mark at the tip of your longest toe.
5.  Measure your other foot using the same method.
6.  Use the measurements of the larger foot.
7.  To find your size, measure the heel-to-toe mark and
     refer to our size chart.

Tip: Subtract 0.48cm from your measurement to accommodate
the slight space between your actual foot and the line made by
the pencil. If your measurements are between two sizes, select
the largest size.
